    1. Hi Shereen, I get my skincare products from iHerb – mainly the Acure brand and Mid Hippie. I do have some Phyt’s products and other products that are sponsored for me to review. I do not use makeup, just a sunscreen that has the best ratings on EWG – Suntegrity! You can find my reviews on SGVegan 🙂 Hope it helps! Cheers, Amanda

  1. Hi Amanda,

I was inspired by your blog and decide to create WordPress today! Yes, you also advocate others to be conscious of their eating habits and I wish to read more vegan stuff in the future.

Please drop me a line at my blog whenever you are free!

    Good luck
    James

  2. I bumped into Amanda´s blog before moving to Singapore as I was trying to find out about where you could get vegan food, what the options were etc. I contacted Amanda and she was happy to chat with me via email, although I was a complete stranger. She even volunteered to help me find a flat in Singapore and pointed out vegan eateries and vegan options at the supermarket, making my start in Singapore so much easier. Through her, I eventually met some other vegans of the amazing community here, which has helped me a lot in practical as well as emotional ways in the past weeks.

Actually, Amanda seems to be the best informed vegan in Singapore. ^^ She knows so many good places where you can eat, can tell you exactly what ingredients they use, often she even knows some of the staff or the owners there… Going with her, I definitely had some of the best vegan meals ever in my time in Singapore so far.

Plus, Amanda has an extensive knowledge about food and nutrition. She can tell you what kind of vitamins are contained in fruits and vegetables of any kind, she can teach you how to cook all the stuff you can find in supermarkets here (veggie section in Asia is a bit different than in Europe…), she can point out what the best times are during the day to eat which kind of food, she can tell you what kinds of fruits you should avoid if not organic, what the opening hours of that little organic shop down the road are, etc. etc. etc.

I cannot even summarize all the things she knows. Just try to get to know her if you can and she can tell you so many things you did not even know you wanted to find out about. ^^

Besides all her knowledge, you are lucky to get to know a person who is selfless, always willing to help, friendly and very respectful of the wishes and opinions of other people. I have not met many people so far who I think really live up to a „non-violent“ way of behaviour and communication, but Amanda is definitely one of them.

So, please keep going, Amanda, and inspring many others along the road. 🙂 And thank you again for all that you have done for me. I hope that one day I will be able to pay you back.

    1. Hey Esther!

Thank you so much for the heartfelt sincere feedback. Its my pleasure to have known you during this period and I am glad that Singapore was a great time for you. Time was short but we’ve done some wonderful things together – grocery shopping and hiking, to name a few. I’m glad things worked out well for you in your assimilation to the Singapore culture. Have a great time volunteering in the Vegan Society in the UK – what a wonderful experience. I’m so happy for you! 🙂

      Cheers,
      Amanda
